Honey 2 Poster Analysis

  • The first thing we see is the girl in the forefront of the poster; this shows us that she is the main character as she is the most prominent on the poster. She is making eye contact with the camera, which helps to draw the audience in as we feel that she is looking at us.
  • The colour scheme of the poster is orange and red, these are both very bright colours which helps the poster to stand out and draw the attention of the audience. The title is in bright orange which contrasts from the black background in which is it placed.
  • The background of the poster contains lots of images of other dancers, this is trying to emphasize to the audience that the main plot is about dance.
  • The mid shot of the two people embracing shows that there is a possible romantic storyline within the film; this has been done to help suggest the storyline of the film.
  • A catchy slogan has been used to make the poster more memorable to the audience, this helps to give the film a brand and image.
  • A conventional thing for the posters to do is to give us general information about the film eg. the release date.
