Silver Linings Playbook Poster Analysis

• The colour scheme for the image is black, white and yellow this is very eye catching and would draw the attention of the audience as yellow is a bright colour contrasting against the black and the white.
• The next thing that I notice is the two actors that are at the sides of the poster, both look happy, which gives us connotations that this film is going to make us happy in the end.
• The close up of the faces shows us that it could be a very exposing and revealing story.
• The main thing that our eye is drawn to is the name of the film; this is placed in the centre of the poster which is where we first look, they have done this to inform the audience the name of the film.
• The thing that makes this poster individual for this film is that in the middle section they have drawn American Football plays; it links the idea of football in the storyline of the film.
•  The poster also gives us all the necessary information about the film eg. the actors that are in it and the date of release.
