Genre Convention Research

The trailer that I am going to make is a drama, which has a feel good factor.

The drama film genre is one that relies on the emotional development of the characters within the film, whom we can relate to. Some of the themes that are discussed in the movies are taken from intense, real life issues. The main hero or heroine may be facing an internal or external conflict, telling an honest story of possible human struggles.

The drama genre is intended to reflect human behaviour and choices within the middle of an everyday life crisis. Some dramas show the complex dynamics of human relationships and that society is always changing.

"The "feelgood movie" isn't just a maudlin, happy-ever-after fable with a final reel that sets your heart aglow. Rather, it's a film that gives you a jolt with its sheer zest and captures the spirit of the era in which it is made."
