What have you learned from your audience feedback?
From the audience feedback I learned that my trailer accurately depicts my feel good genre, this is because all the viewers that watched my trailer, thought that it was a feel good film.
The audience feedback told me that actually sympathised with the main character, however, I did not want to portray this as the main message. I wanted the audience to be hopeful for the character. This means that maybe I need to alter the way that I edit, as stated in question 4, so that she is not portrayed as being so vulnerable and more powerful against her mother, who is portrayed as the superior power.
The interviewee's stated that the editing was accurate for the genre of my film as it was fast paced and quick, meaning that there wasn't a dull moment that didn't fit the tone of the film. They also said that the music used, suited the genre because it was very upbeat and happy. This therefore shows that I have edited and chosen accompanying music accurately for the genre of my trailer.
The character made my viewers feel like they had hope, and that they were empowered to do anything that they wanted. This can be seen as a success because I wanted people to get the feeling of hope and power from the trailer, so that they can use it in the future when they have a problem that they need to tackle. By my audience telling me this is how I felt, it shows that I have been able to accurately portray this throughout the trailer.
